Its a rare condition this day and age..

To read any good news on the newspaper page...

Well I read some good news today. Actually I saw some good news. I woke up... Face not really hurting at all... And then the news had 3 happy stories on it. Wow... This world did a turn around. Good news! On TV! Fancy that!

No puffy face here. No pain. Just a good nurse by my side.

Mashed Banana Mashed Banana...

Mashed Banana Mashed Banana. Banana, banana, banana... Munch munch munch munch...

Yes songs get stuck in my head like no other. So today was a good day. I sang in church this morning which The African Bird says went well. Then I attended Sunday School where I think we talked about Jack falling out the window. Odd.

After that I headed to The Bird's aunts house... Oh the Ant's house, and we ate some food. Good stuff. Soon after we headed to my house and I sat here on the computer and worked. Get this I looked at over 1000 children's books today! Crazy! I am making a wish list... Oh yes that reminds me.  Due to the overwhelming plea for information about my birthday gifts I will provide an online blog or two to site the items that I will need come November. Now just remember if you decide to celebrate my birthday now, you can still buy me another gift in November, September, and October. I won't argue with your intellect.

Anyway I saw Lycan, Parker, and Mini Hough tonight. It was good stuff. We watched the Bourne ID... It was a'ight. I'll check out the new one. Good things in the future.

Gather round you friends of mine...

We're Wilderness Girls and it's COOKIE TIME...

That's right you heard it here first. I was out in the wilds today... The wilds of Santa Barbara. It was great fun. The African --Carrie-- Bird and I met up with the ever so Spidermanish Jeremy--who climbed up the side of a building today for our enjoyment--Flinn and his lovely wife Kristi--who should realize that being called a swan or a giraffe is a great compliment, hey its better than a bull dog. Anyway, it was splendid seeing them in such a nearby location.

To those of you reading this who may have moved away, please note: You may only move away to the most northern point of SLO, and the most southern point of Santa Barbara... Anything else is inconsiderate of Michael's needs. And let's remember who is important here.

Later in the day Miss Kicks, Melissa Waldhelm, met up with us and had some fine CA.P.K. eats. To end the day we walked in circles and then drove to El Capitan where we looked at the view and talked about caterpillars smoking in Wonderland. It was simply davoon. We roasted marshmallows and then drove home.

The moral of the story?
If you move to SB or SLO Michael will be happy and give you a dollar.

Have you ever heard the wolf cry to the blue corned moon...

Or ask the grinning bobcat why he grins... Can you see the moons full round when its a half moon?

I say no. The African Bird says yes. I think the eye is playing tricks on you and The Bird says she can see it all. I think it is one of those visual fill ins... Where you read a sentence and all of the second vowels are taken out but you can still read the sentence fine... Ya know?  More to come on that one. Besides that... I also saw a balloon by the moon. Anyway my gay project is done, so is my Mexican one.

Fun fun fun...

I'm going down down baby...

Bastinga on the radio, boom boom baby. Ready to let'em go. Shimmy shimmy coco puff...

So I have been super tired lately. I don't even know what's wrong with me. Last night I slept for about eleven hours, and guess what I woke up at 6:30. Get out your calculators, cause that's an early bed time.

Today was good. Tani worked with me which was way fun, but then nap time was way wicked cause I had to play stern teacher. No fun.  Later in the afternoon we had water day and it was fun cause I got to go on the slip and slide! Yeah baby...

But later in the day a little girl put a ball in her mouth and she wouldn't spit it out. I told her if she didn't spit it out she could swallow it and get it stuck in there forever, or she could choke on it and die like Mufasa did in the story. That didn't set in. So I tried a new method. I had her look at the scar on my face. She touched it. Then I had her touch my neck. She did. And oop! There was a ball in my throat!!! I told her that the doctor had to go in and look in my throat, and he'd do the same to her if she left it in her mouth. She then spit it out. She didn't want a scar on her face.

Moral of the story?

An Adam's Apple a day keeps the doctor away.

It's fun to stay at the..

Y-M-C-A... Its fun to stay at the ...

Oh yeah that's right baby. We went and saw the Original Village People tonight at the Santa Barbara County Fair, here in good ol' Santa Maria. They were awesome. A little gay perhaps, but awesome. Before that I spent the afternoon setting up my classroom with all the little things I have collected over time and then hanging with Carrie. That was fun...

But the concert...
Everyone who was anyone  (except my lovely family, Parker, and maybe the you--if you are reading this) was there. They sang their little songs and I saw one of my kids from work and I never knew it but she can dance really well--she was in the front row cutting a rug... She was much better than the 50 year old blonde woman who had spasms when she danced. She was loca in the cabasa. Not as weird as the Indian who had the biggest mohawk... Or the construction worker who tore open his shirt, but still very odd.

Well just a quick note so you all know that I learned how to do the YMCA dance properly.

Like sweet morning dew, I took one look at you

And it was plain to see, you were my destiny.
With arms open wide, I threw away my pride.
I'll sacrifice for you, dedicate my life to you...

So this was a good week. I started work with a blast of energy and ended with a boom of being tired.  According to everything I know I'll be the head teacher officially until December and then they have to pick me out of a group if I am allowed to continue. Whatever. Sounds lame.

SO Thursday Mike Peter Melvine Parker said something funny that I can't remember... If you know the details to this wonderful comment that should be immortality on my blog please let me know. I also heard a ring in my house, picked up the phone and heard Pipi Longstocking in a minor key--SHOUT OUT to San Jose--REPRESENT 619!

Continuing on through the week... last night I went to class and I found out that I got a 100 on my test when I thought I got a 70! Whoo hoo! I know my early childhood education... That was good news for sure. Following that good news I went out with Pa and Ma Swenson for an Olivey Garden dessert. Very good conversation, good chocolate food, and very baggy eyes on my side of the table... After working for 8 hours, and going to school for 3.5 I was worn out.  SO, after that I headed home where I sat on the sofa and looked out my window thinking "Gee I'm tired." Yet I sat there and attempted to study. Waste of time.

Today I get ready to play in my classroom... I'll be hanging stuff up and I'm totally stoked. Then more to come with Carrie! Whoo hoo! Come on VH1 vote for me... I had the best week ever!

Summertime...

And the mood is easy... I've been sabaloopa for so long.

So today is a pretty funny day. I woke up at 6:30 AM and thought to myself, "Why am I waking up at 6:30." So I watched the Game Show Network and I think I watched Match Game and Hollywood Squares. Yes that was good times... Good old Brett and Whoopi on one channel.

So I eventually got dressed and went to church. Yeah, that was interesting. I taught in the 4's and 5's class and it was very odd cause I had no clue what happened when I was speaking to the kids and my lesson just came to a halt. So oh well....

Then I went home and I sat on the sofa and an hour and a half later I woke up to be ba doo boopie do dow. And I was shocked. I thought I was awake, but it turns out I was just dreaming about a Hawaiian print. Is that odd or what?

So now I sit at Carrie's desk and I prepare to go to celebrate the birth of my namesake. That's fun times man. And then I may go and make like a My Buddy Jim band and burn like a fire. So I say to you all...

fare thee well

Well I thought I knew you. Thinkin', thought you were true, yes I...

I couldn't trust, called your bluff taught me... souff cuf a muff luff duff... cause I've had enough.

So today was an ok day. I went back to Marian and worked there which was good clean fun. They are funny there. The kids are great and have a lot of personality. After that I ran over to my real school and low and behold no contract sat on the desk for me. So alas I cried about it for a half hour until I decided it was time to go eat something for lunch. So I did that too.

After my pilgrimage Miss Swenson called me and brought over a sequel pack for Scene It--You've seen it here first, folks. I have Part II coming to you--And then we decided ugh it was time for youth group.

So it went and went. And then it was gone. So then I went to worship team practice. And it went and went. And it too was gone. Alas 11:08 rolled around and it was too late to go see Miss Swenson and Miss Lee, so I used the Bell and sent my regards to Broadway--strike that make it Cypress. So here I am. I watched part of Millionaire, became very bored and sat down to Blog my thoughts out when I get a call in a minor key. How odd? I think so.

what.

Let's all party...

Like its 1999... or 2004. Take your pick.

So anyway today was a good day. I spent most of the day with Miss Swenson and we had a pretty good time walking around the streets of SLO. Although we walked around there fast, it was SLO. What do you know!

After that and some deep discussion we settled to have a good time walking around COSTCO which contrary to popular belief was open. So after a few runs up and down the aisles, and after meetin up with half of GBC we found chips and cheese.

So the night ran on, and we did too. We saw many faces. A little Texas Hold Em sponsored by Mr. Texas himself, Austen. A little catch in the back yard with Rose. And some Nertz fun with the big group. After we finished our games we all gathered--cause it was a gathering and then separated again. This time to movie watching and going home.

So alas I sit at my desk, alone... All by myself, don't wanna be... All by myself.

My future lies beyond the...

Yellow brick road--Ahhh ahh ahhh ahhh, so goodbye yellow brick road, saga do ba de da go ha.

So today was a very long day--ok it just felt that way. I understand that days are all the same measurement of time, but sometimes the days just seem long ok.

I started working at Marian Medical Center for my student teaching and I think I am rather tired already. I started my day around 6 am and I woke up working, then I drove to the children's center in a daze and all of a sudden I thought--Did I lock my front door? So I jet home to find it was locked. But with my luck this last month I probably would have left it unlocked and it would have been broken into and cleaned out... Wait... Cleaned out... Me not doing the work.. Maybe I should unlock the door...

Nevertheless, I worked for a short period of time, came home. Worked on some stuff, and then went over to Carrie's where she selflessly helped me out the sweet thing. She's a trooper. Someone who can put up with me and be cheerful? What a winner! Plus she's really smart--Come on a 99 on a math test is awesome! So then tonight I went to school and listened to my teacher talk about lesson planning and stuff and I realized... Wow it's Friday night and the moon is bright, gonna have some fun, show you how its done--TGIF. So I came home ate a thing of Nachos and watched Bee Bah Ba Doopie Do Dow. I got to see the cute bird again and life is good...
