AKA TGIF people....
Ok I love spending my nights just writing stories, but here's the problem...
I always think of a better story to do after I write the first one. It is like the opposite of writers block... Writers Flood. I have a ton of ideas coming at me, but none that I have latched on to. I wrote about 6 pages tonight on this character I created upon a train (How very JKR of me) but still... I think I can tolerate this one for awhile. If not, back to Brandon's story I go... Cause... well having written about 40 pages of that one I should finish it before I run out of Writers Flood.
Ok...
Now its time for some Narnia watching (hopefully next week I will say some Da Vinci Code listening shout out to Cory for the mad hook ups dawg--or maybe I'll buy it with my winnings from Survivor).

Going, going, gone.
Ok. I am officially sick. I spent the evening in bed: sneezing, coughing, and aching. It's that sorta aching that gets under your skin and flows from one body part to another (isn't that the flu or something--I hope I'm not the first case of bird flu or something). But I will do my best to get to work cause K McG is coming for a little fire fightin'. And it is Friday which will determine if I have a weekend or not.
But I pulled myself out of bed to watch Survivor which I was happy about, cause ding dong Courtney is out. Yeah baby! Even more exciting than that... CORY IS OUT! At last! The first time my chances are better than his. I always am folied by his trickery. But tonight.. Tonight I tasted the beginnings of victory. I am pretty happy about that whole situation cause that means I am one step closer to winning for the VERY first time. Yeah yeah, I want Melissa's girl to win over me, but still.
Ok. I'm going to bed for the night, my phone is charging and I'm sleeping.

Home Alone in Anaheim
Well here I am. In good old Anaheim, California... Just a block or 2 away from Disneyland and... Urg. I'm not there. I'm totally working this weekend (mind you it is good work, and pretty easy, but still). I went to workshops today which were good and now I checked into the hotel. It works. I have 2 beds to myself, a TV, food, free internet, and a night of possibilities. I am toying with the idea of going to Downtown Disney tonight and doing some ESPN zone...
Farah will be here so that's a plus (if not the whole reason that this trip is simply amazing). We'll be going out to dinner with Mimi (the Disney-grandma), and enjoying things around here.
So, not much to report. Just chillin like a villain.
Until tomorrow.
Shaw out.

The Outing to SLO...

There should have been pictures of us at the Madonna Inn but alas, that place reeked of Fantasyland Diarrhea so I couldn't capture any pictures. But ahhh the beauty of the above...

The Bus
Well times they are a-going well here for this young chap.
Yesterday morning I woke up and did the whole Greyhound Bus to LA. There were some definite characters there. Such as the crazy Chinese girl who cussed a lot and had a boyfriend named Kevin who she enjoyed doing activities such as yelling at poor McDonalds workers. Then there was the man in the purple hat who was pretty much insane (wearing a hospital band) and starting yelling about the oppressed Mexican field workers. Then there were the cute little girls who ate these strange pink and white cookies that were strange and looked like something from Willy Wonka.
Well then I got off the bus and Lisa drove me to Kyle's work. I did the whole eating with Kyle thing, and then we toured around the Walt Disney Concert Hall (amazing). So then, I was on my own for about 3 hours. So I did a whole tour of MOCA which was fun, and then I was off to the WDCH again. I walked around for about an hour then sat by a fountain and made some phone calls. All in all, good times.
Next Lisa, Henners, and I all walked around the promenade to browse. Kyle returned. Henners ate lots of food. And then came back to the Ahlgren Home where we watched Saved! and waited for the Fantastic Miss Farah. She arrived, and life was beautiful.
Now, we await a day of wonders, amazement, and Redlands. Off we go...

With Sincere Apologies to Parker
Problems with American Idol that I can't help but write about (yeah, sorry Parker):
1. Queen? As a theme? For pop singers? That would have been better for the final 5 or 4, cause I think there were/are only 4 good Queen songs that "singers" can showcase.
2. Bucky sounded good, and charmed women!?
3. I think we saw Ace's nipple through that nasty shirt.
4. Kellie looked like David Bowie
5. Chris didn't do that well with a ROCK theme? What?
6. Katharine McPhee sang with her throat. What was that. Come on, just because it is rock week doesn't mean you have to compromise your amazing voice.
7. Elliott has open eye syndrome at the start. (Come on, everyone, especially Alyssa, knows how much I love this man, but come on just feel the music and sing, you sound amazing just do it, don't preform it.)
8. Taylor is singing a song that reminds me of that crooner from the early stage with the bobble head. And he is singing about being CRAZY... yeah that makes sense.
9. Paris looked like Lil Kim's 12 year old daughter while singing Moulin Rouge muZAK.
10. Fantasia is sitting behind Paula the whole time and has something silver on her head. Is that hair?
Sorry, I just couldn't help but notice.

Image of the Month
This is my retro-photo I took. I did it up to look like a 50's shot. Maybe a little "Far From Heaven"-esk. What do ya think?

THIS JUST IN!
We interrupt this blog for a special news bulletin!
THE CASS IS CRAWLING! Man your battle stations!
Snap.
Work it Little Sully!
We now return to our normally scheduled blog.
THE CASS IS CRAWLING! Man your battle stations!

Work it Little Sully!
We now return to our normally scheduled blog.
A Change.
Man this time change thing bugs me. Why is it that I am the only one at Grace who can wake up during the time change? Seriously, I don't get it. We don't set our clocks forward until 2 pm. That means I lose vital afternoon lazy moments. What a shame.
Nevertheless, I am very rested here. I had a good weekend. Did a little writing, reading, playing, and cleaning. My goal is to clean up all of my miserable messy piles that I have some how collected. I still am in favor of the argument that little house elves are in the Shaw home, who make things go all higgilty-piggilty. Seriously, a good smattering of rubbish covers my desk now. What's that about. It feels like my desk at work (aka the place where old toys and random urgently important papers come to die).
Anyway. This weeks goals are to make sure Katharine McPhee (Parker's lady) gets in the top 3 (not the bottom 3), to deposit three large checks into the bank (possibly exchanging the money for Sacagawea coins so I can swim through them like Uncle Scrooge), and to re-issue Mafia names to those who were once neglected or unknown at the time of initial issuing.
Es todos.

AMERICA!?!
What's wrong with you? I just don't get it.
Katharine? What you don't have a Pheever anymore? What about Bucky, yeah he was better last night, but still?
Listen. Katharine is basically the reason I watch the show. I need her to be on that show. Don't you go voting her off. You naughty, little, girly country.
Just stop it. STOP IT! You big dummy-heads. (Ok that's a quote from my classroom, maybe I'll call that an occupational quote.)
Listen. I am a Christian, so I'll show some grace and forgiveness. But maybe only tonight. Next time, I may forget about forgiveness and grace (cracking knuckles).
BOOM! WATCH IT BUDDY BOY!

The McRibb
That's right. Shes'a back. And shes'a better than ever. My blog baby.
Well, it has been sometime since I updated this thing and I do apologize. The main reason is I have been trying to catch up on all of my paper work for school and work. I had finals which consumed a lot of time, and my assessments were due on the kids at work this week. So a lot of finish it up and clean it up work was spent doing it all.
As for my life:
Farah. Ahh. A breath of fresh air. With a name ending in "ah" you know it's a good thing. A sigh of relief. Ladies and Gentlemen, dare I post such a thing... But she may have a job here! It is 95% sure, and yes... that means... SHE'S MOVING HERE! Lovely? Indeed.
Work. Kuh. A breath of stale air. With a name ending in "kuh" you know it's a bad thing. A cough of disgust. I'm not talking about the kid-o's, cause they are always great, even on their worst days, it's just the mundane, monotony of doing paper work and dealing with everyone's issues. Yuck. I'm over it.
Church. Chhhh. A breath of smokey air. With a name ending in "Chh" you know it's a moving thing. A train chugging a long. I'm pretty content with it all, things keep chugging a long, and yeah life works pretty well for me there. I'm in with it.
Parker. Errr. A breath of oddness. With a name ending in "Err" you know it's just silly and err--questionable. A friend writing funny poems. I'm cracking up over this guy, these notes are simply classic. I'm down homes.
Mario. Oooo. A breath of... well something. With a name ending in "Ooo" you know it's shocking. A game that has me almost to the last battle ship? Life is good.
And that's me in a few sound bytes.

Emotions...
Seriously, maybe I am a little emotional right now (waiting for Farah to get here and all) but I just teared up over a movie trailer...
Best part about it is... It was for X3. People, this movie is everything I want it to be. The acting looks great, the graphics look amazing, and the story seems to be following a unique yet true to the original (somewhat) storyline. Oh man. This movie, me, a popcorn on Regal's buck, and a time called Midnight are in my future. I can't wait for May.
Peace and Love. And God bless Apple Movie Trailers.
Out.

Coutdown
Ah I am rather tired. Oh well...
Class went well tonight, it was fun, but tomorrow... Yeah baby! Farah!
All rise! The honorable, beautiful, and practically perfect in every way, Farah is coming to town.
Horray. So I'm going to rest up before she comes here tomorrow morning. And off I go!

Wrong
Well... Two posts ago I posted something wrong. I am not too proud to admit it...
But here it is:
Gedeon and Will (I sorta guess him)
I should have known. The guy I can't stand is gone cause he draws odd pictures and is odd)
Kinik and Ayla (Yeah actually I predicted that one... I talked with Cory today and yeah... Too bad I didn't post it to prove it)
Anyway. Such is life, I'm over it.
P.S. I love that song about clapping the hands!
P.S.S. Bucky and Kevin better get going soon!

Good Dolly! I've got some News...
Every night I come home and I watch the news, Maybe I'll give the weekly update... We'll see... but it's time ladies and gentlemen, for Michael Shaw's slant on the news:
Entertainment...
The Oscars were good. Not amazing, but good. (My party was five times better so ha LaLa Land) This week all of Hollywood is reflecting on Chalize's giant bow on her dress, and Heath Ledger's ladies' odd color choice... Joan and Melissa have put their votes in and fashion awards have been divvied out. I must say I was pretty excited that two of the funniest people in all of Hollywood were together this weekend Joan and Dolly. Yes Dolly Parton. Those women are crazy. They're more plastic then the PlaySchool Factory in Michigan.
Sports...
Mr. Bonds is being investigated. Steroids. Ethics? Listen we all don't like the idea of someone using something unnatural to enhance (for instance Dolly Parton rubs people the wrong way because of her unnatural stuff--but hey she's turning 60 this year so ROCK IT OUT GIRL!). But seriously. I think its just a fact that people are going to use, so let's just throw those guys all into a different league--Say the American Druggie Baseball Association. It would be kind of amazing all these guys who are like X-Men playing baseball. The balls would be flying all over the place, bats cracking in half every other hit. Yeah that would be kind of amazing.
Health...
Cigarettes sales are down 4.2% which is interesting. All the kids in my class say that if you smoke you will die. Yeah that's true. But then again, if you breathe air, you will die. Such is life, I'm over it.
Did you know Diabetes can lead to erectial disfunction!? Did you know that they call it ED? Did you know that they have about 3 or 4 ED ads every night on the news!? How many men can't ... Never mind, I think that this whole subject needs to stop. I'm putting it to rest.
People in America are living longer. Dolly (yes, her again), Bush, and thousands of others are turning 60 this year.
Financial...
Billionaires. There's tons of them! FORBES said it... 793 Billionaires in the world! There were only 476 3 years ago! That's a big growth rate for those of you who don't do well with numbers (Shaw family shout out). Bill Gates tops the list with 50 billion, and how much has he given me? Nothing. 371 billionaires live here in the US. Martha is off the list. Donald is on the list. Dolly wasn't on the list, even after Dollywood. That freako James Dyson with his stupid vacuum did it, he's a billionaire. I can't stand that stupid commercial. He spent his life doing it, and for that we give him a billion. Come on. I've spent over 6 years becoming a teacher and do I get a billion? Nope, I just get a 5 figure salary and kids spitting on me. Whatever.
And that's the news for today.
Check back soon for the amazing things happening in the world. More to come on Dollywood soon...

The Ghetto Guys
Gedeon..
What the heck? Is he really THAT intense!? I thought I was the only one who was that intense. Listen I love the Lord, but still he is always saying "God bless you." Is he for real, or unlike most people who hear voices he hears sneezes? I'm just saying.
Chris...
Baldy, you are good. But I wasn't that excited by your performance tonight. Maybe it's all become just expected from you, but still.
Kevin...
Oy. Is he really loved by so many? I do get it, but come on. It's the Geek Squad look, but I just don't hear it vocally. Sorry. Time to buy a plane ticket.
Bucky....
Oh shucky. Not so good my southern buddy. Just averagey and totally sounded like the bar buddy who got up to impress the ladies. Couldn't dig it.
Will...
Good kid. Not the best. But totally likable. Too bad he sounded like a Karaoke Bar for overly professional 14 year olds.
Taylor...
Put the bunny head back on buddy. I'm getting tired of you. But you have this totally individual self that will probably put you through. Urg. He moves worse than my car trying to shift gears. I can't understand that awkward movement. A little Forrest Gump-esk if I've ever seen it.
Elliott...
Are you sure you aren't black? He has so much quieted soul in his voice. Effortless. Simple. But I think it missed that big moment that made everyone believe in him as the superstar.
Ace...
The pretty boy strikes again. Does he really need this forum to get a contract? But what's up with Michael Jackson!?! That blasted falsetto strikes again! Learn this all men competing: You sound like a freakin doofus when you sing in that falsetto, everyone can do it, you're not special cause you can. Hated that song, but hey, someone must have liked it. It wasn't as bad as Kevin's song about suffering for sanity!!
Who should go tomorrow?
Bucky and Kevin unless America loses faith in Will... Don't do it.
