Back with a character...

The art curator. Oh dear... This woman is very pretentious. She thinks what she does is better than everyone else... She believes those she gives tours to, are below her. Alas, an art snob at work...

The gods love Nubia...

I was thinking about the Nubians and this woman came out of my head.

Pause...

You may have noticed a pause in my doodling. Fear not, I just need a few days to stock up on some quick doodles. The doodles will return by Thursday.

Cheers!

This picture will probably not make the cut for my book. But here it is...

Ug.

Three words:

Worst. Acid. Reflux.

It was not a pretty afternoon. But God is good, and so is Dr. Hole, Parker, and most of all Farah (well below God, but still).

no doodle today.

Look up in the sky, it's BRATMAN!

This is a character sketch I did for one of the boys in the class. I think this may be the infamous Kyle from my story... Or perhaps the tricky Jason... We'll see soon enough...

Page 3

This is page three of my story. Maybe I won't post these as blogs, or else people won't be interested in buying a book once I get it published (oh, wait... that may not happen because I can't get the publishing houses to open my letters).

Page 2

This is one of my first attempts at illustrating my kid's book. It probably won't make the final cut, since I'm sure I want to use this style.

The general theme at this point of the book is there are a bunch of a naughty children running a muck in an elementary school classroom. As the kids head out to recess things don't improve...

we three kids...

I must have Christmas on the brian. Here is a picture of some kids walking to a party. I was inspired by a Dr. Seuss book called "Hooper Humperdink... Not him!"

A monkey and a horse...

No idea where this one came from. She just popped into my head after Little Miss Perfect did. I think I needed someone a little more down-to-earth after Miss. Putnam County won the spelling bee.

Putnam County

So, again. This was inspired from "Hooper..." I really liked the little retro-cartoons in the book. This one is a girl who is little miss perfect. We all know a kid like this. And yes, she's cute. And yes, at times she is annoyingly cute.

52 Weeks More...

This page is in honor of me being done with Dr. Seuss. Last week I spend every day surrounded by the world of Theo LeSieg, and I'm done with it. I refuse to be "Seuss-ish" until next year. At any rate I drew this very quickly in front of my class while learning about the art of Seuss.
