Ugh. Have you noticed I've been avoiding you?
Yes, it's true. I've been avoiding you for the past week and a half. I haven't had much to say, nor have I felt ready to announce any resolutions. This year I thought I would change my phrasing from "resolutions" to "goals". My wife tells me it is far better to have goals--resolutions tend to leave you out in the cold.
Well, I'll give it a try (much to the chagrin of my readers out there).
Goal 1- Writing. I WILL pursue my writing this year. I will send out my manuscript to children's magazines. I will be published.
Goal 2- Reading. I WILL read 25 books this year. Last year I read 24, this year I will mark it with 25.
Goal 3- Helping. I WILL cook a meal for my family at least once a week. Oops. I better get on this one--maybe Farah will let me start this one in March.
Goal 4- Resting. I WILL rest and relax without work in front of me for at least 1 hour a day.
Goal 5- Praying. I WILL pray with my lovely wife every night before we go to bed.
Goal 6- Movie-ing. I WILL return my powers back to the world of the cinema.
Well, those are my verbs for the year. Julia Roberts may make a movie out of my life: Write, Read, Help, Rest, Pray, Movie. But for the film version I'll be played by Tobey Maguire and Farah will be played by Famke Janssen or that Twilight girl.
Here's to the goal!

Great goals... Perhaps number 7 will be to become an
all-star father to a special little boy... and if you tire,
to remember that both his grandfathers love little boys.
XXOO RCS
I love these goals! YOu always make me laugh!
Fauf
ummm can i be in the movie? ( :
xoxox
haha. congrats. I like your spin on resolutions, turning it to goals. A personal preference of mine is affirmations. not the same thing, but its like an expression of goals in words.
I love your enthusiasm. Not if but when :-)
