The Party

Oh yeah OSCAR time is HERE!!!

The party is set. The invites are mostly out.

And anyone who is anyone is coming.

After the evening I will post my ballot online. However, if you are coming to the party I will ask that you do not copy mine. For the $50's worth of prizes really looks nice to me. :-)

Movies, movies, movies, movies...

Well the Oscars are coming... And whoo hoo boy am I excited. I have turned into a movie crazy-freak-a-zoid for sure. I have seen so many movies in the past month:

Sideways
Aviator
Ray
Constantine
Hitch
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Hotel Rwanda
Million Dollar Baby

So yeah... Pretty much all the major movies have been seen. I just need to watch Closer, Vera Drake, and Maria full of Grace. Soon and very soon I will put my list for Oscar winners.

As a side note I really like the funny girl on American Idol and the other guy with the locks.

I use to dream that I would meet a prince(ss)...

But God Almighty! Have you seen what's happened since(ss)?

Call me a camel not a taxi, cause today is hump day. The week is going... beautiful. Michael, that is.... Beautiful.

Sunday was an awesome day of jammin. I hurt my knee at that dance, but hey at least I got to have a slow dance with three ladies. (I can mark that off of my list of things to do before I turn 30) But I am in much appreciation and gratitude to Alyssa and Nikki for setting up the event. Note to Alyssa-- I'd like to have that pic posted on my blog.

Monday was a long... long... day. It was fun cause Tanya worked all day. It is funny when my two worlds meet on Mondays. But she's fun to have with the kidos and it gives me time to relax a bit. "What's the point."

Tuesday was spent avoiding the night, but alas the clock moved along and night found me. I decided to face the devil in the eyes and did what I needed to do. But hey... Maybe I'll get 5 bucks for it. If I do whoo hoo that means I have cajones.

Today I did my alone time. Its exciting and new. Well I went to the OG and had lunch. I read a magazine and talked with Rose for a bit. She wants me to go dancing with her friends tonight. We'll see if I have energy to do that. The rest of the day I tried to call Andrew. No luck. But if you heard the rumors... They are true. I sounded like Ernie from Burt and Ernie today. I kept saying "Uhhhh hey Burt (well I said Cory but you get the idea)."

The future? What's in the future? I should be going to the movies tonight. We'll see if that works out.

My Work at My Home

Wah Lah! This was my Garage Sale-ing find. So the story goes that I went to Jim and Jenn's Garage Sale and I saw this normal old brown table. I thought to myself... Hum... Nice piece for my classroom. So I gave Jenn 5 bucks and then I went to Home Depot... Paid about 2 bucks for primer and a few pennies for some sand paper and I fixed 'er up after watching the BAFTAs. Then I used some old green paint (I had that from when Tanya passed out in my bedroom and Carrie and I were ready to call 911) and then was inspired to put a crocodile on the top. AH ha! 5 Little Monkeys Table... Perfect for the Preschool. So nevertheless... Here is the start of my work. Pretty good for less than two hours. I may put it on e-bay.
Here's the view from the side. Still wet.

Note To Viewer...

This site may have changed or been updated in the last weeks due to recent events. Enjoy.

You give me Fever...

Here is the new theme for my classroom. It was inspired when a kid told me "I have a fever." I thought oh yeah Jungle Fever... Ok I didn't think that. But it was a good tie in for... The Jungle! I'm excited to study all the different animals that live in the Amazon and such. I have hanging vines and real South American tools in the classroom. Awesome? I think so!
Flash... there's the wide shot.
Lovely ain't it? That's my new reading corner in my classroom I just set up this morning. That pillow was taken from Lisa's room... he he he. Except I always thought it was brown until I washed it. Go figure. You don't wash yourself, when will you wash your pillow! Love ya Li!

Goodbye to the Castle

This is the last picture I took to show our Classroom Kingdom! It was so awesome! The kids loved it. I had to crop it funny so I wouldn't get a kid in the picture when I post it online. But it did turn out really well. The inside was filled with princess gowns, soldier helmets, dragon costumes, and had a stage that the kids acted out stories on. It was totally magical.

I walked right down the middle of Main Street USA

Ooo Ahhh Ohhh.... Its time for a trip down memory lane. Welcome to the Mecca that I call Disneyland.
Me gusta. Parker is a smart dawg and told me to get a locker. Well we got one. But we printed the instructions on it in Spanish. Lucky for me I was able to translate the numbers into English.
Here is Meriwether. Or the Lewis... Or Parker. Or whatever his name is. Note to parents- He was told to wear his seatbelt. This is documentation of this order given.
Parker is excited. I told you he would be. But he actually is a bit angry. He believes that this sign tells you take pictures of the background and not the post. I totally disagree. Note however there are only 4 people in the background.
See.... I have to be honest. I work as a preschool teacher by day. But by night I model for GQ. Sorry everyone... I've been leading a double life.
See how content Parker looks. OK... Maybe he is a better GQ model. But still...
A ghost town of activity. Note to anyone wanting to go to Disneyland. Mondays are great days. Check out the line to Big Thunder!!!

The Best Week Ever?

VH1... Maybe I should be considered again...

My, my. This week proved to be a different series of events. While last week was a series of unfortunate events, this week proved to be a week of madness. Now, madness normally means that someone or something is feeling angry or perhaps it could mean a hectic feeling has come over a situation. However in this situation madness means that things were busy yet in some ways exciting.

The week started out with me singing in church. It’s interesting seeing other sides to the church, literally and figuratively. Jim wasn’t there on Sunday, so half of the group headed out to a place we call Orcutt and enjoyed some fine dining.
Tasty? I think so.

After that day, I was happy to spend time with Mr. Smokey the Bear and watch a movie. Entertaining? I think so.

Tuesday I worked and then watched Idol with the Chinese Woman. She kept getting strange calls on her phone. Once it was a silent call, I think it was a mime calling.
Hilarious? I think so.

The next day rolled around and I was happy to find that I had another night out and watched yet another movie with a new friend. I had a good time and I even ate popcorn.
Adventure? I think so.

The following day was the day before the day before tomorrow. I spent the day at work and the night singing… This was very fulfilling to me. My spirit needed that moment of expression.
Enjoyable? I think so.

The day before tomorrow is being spent sick and off of work. Fever and cough were brought on due to exposure and a lowered immune system. I guess I must be under some kind of stress or something. Go figure. Tonight I have Stats class and my body (or is it my brain) is telling me not to go. We’ll see what comes of that
Excited? I think not.

This next week I head out for my pilgrimage to Mecca. I just got a phone call confirming that I am taking the Lewis to my Clark with me. Well that’s what I hear now. If not I suppose I can be like some person who explored on his own… Umm… Who would that be? Oh well. I’ll just forget about this blog and enjoy my first sick day from my job.
Stoked? I think so.
