AKA TGIF people....
Ok I love spending my nights just writing stories, but here's the problem...
I always think of a better story to do after I write the first one. It is like the opposite of writers block... Writers Flood. I have a ton of ideas coming at me, but none that I have latched on to. I wrote about 6 pages tonight on this character I created upon a train (How very JKR of me) but still... I think I can tolerate this one for awhile. If not, back to Brandon's story I go... Cause... well having written about 40 pages of that one I should finish it before I run out of Writers Flood.
Ok...
Now its time for some Narnia watching (hopefully next week I will say some Da Vinci Code listening shout out to Cory for the mad hook ups dawg--or maybe I'll buy it with my winnings from Survivor).

Going, going, gone.
Ok. I am officially sick. I spent the evening in bed: sneezing, coughing, and aching. It's that sorta aching that gets under your skin and flows from one body part to another (isn't that the flu or something--I hope I'm not the first case of bird flu or something). But I will do my best to get to work cause K McG is coming for a little fire fightin'. And it is Friday which will determine if I have a weekend or not.
But I pulled myself out of bed to watch Survivor which I was happy about, cause ding dong Courtney is out. Yeah baby! Even more exciting than that... CORY IS OUT! At last! The first time my chances are better than his. I always am folied by his trickery. But tonight.. Tonight I tasted the beginnings of victory. I am pretty happy about that whole situation cause that means I am one step closer to winning for the VERY first time. Yeah yeah, I want Melissa's girl to win over me, but still.
Ok. I'm going to bed for the night, my phone is charging and I'm sleeping.

Home Alone in Anaheim
Well here I am. In good old Anaheim, California... Just a block or 2 away from Disneyland and... Urg. I'm not there. I'm totally working this weekend (mind you it is good work, and pretty easy, but still). I went to workshops today which were good and now I checked into the hotel. It works. I have 2 beds to myself, a TV, food, free internet, and a night of possibilities. I am toying with the idea of going to Downtown Disney tonight and doing some ESPN zone...
Farah will be here so that's a plus (if not the whole reason that this trip is simply amazing). We'll be going out to dinner with Mimi (the Disney-grandma), and enjoying things around here.
So, not much to report. Just chillin like a villain.
Until tomorrow.
Shaw out.

The Outing to SLO...
There should have been pictures of us at the Madonna Inn but alas, that place reeked of Fantasyland Diarrhea so I couldn't capture any pictures. But ahhh the beauty of the above...

The Bus
Well times they are a-going well here for this young chap.
Yesterday morning I woke up and did the whole Greyhound Bus to LA. There were some definite characters there. Such as the crazy Chinese girl who cussed a lot and had a boyfriend named Kevin who she enjoyed doing activities such as yelling at poor McDonalds workers. Then there was the man in the purple hat who was pretty much insane (wearing a hospital band) and starting yelling about the oppressed Mexican field workers. Then there were the cute little girls who ate these strange pink and white cookies that were strange and looked like something from Willy Wonka.
Well then I got off the bus and Lisa drove me to Kyle's work. I did the whole eating with Kyle thing, and then we toured around the Walt Disney Concert Hall (amazing). So then, I was on my own for about 3 hours. So I did a whole tour of MOCA which was fun, and then I was off to the WDCH again. I walked around for about an hour then sat by a fountain and made some phone calls. All in all, good times.
Next Lisa, Henners, and I all walked around the promenade to browse. Kyle returned. Henners ate lots of food. And then came back to the Ahlgren Home where we watched Saved! and waited for the Fantastic Miss Farah. She arrived, and life was beautiful.
Now, we await a day of wonders, amazement, and Redlands. Off we go...

With Sincere Apologies to Parker
Problems with American Idol that I can't help but write about (yeah, sorry Parker):
1. Queen? As a theme? For pop singers? That would have been better for the final 5 or 4, cause I think there were/are only 4 good Queen songs that "singers" can showcase.
2. Bucky sounded good, and charmed women!?
3. I think we saw Ace's nipple through that nasty shirt.
4. Kellie looked like David Bowie
5. Chris didn't do that well with a ROCK theme? What?
6. Katharine McPhee sang with her throat. What was that. Come on, just because it is rock week doesn't mean you have to compromise your amazing voice.
7. Elliott has open eye syndrome at the start. (Come on, everyone, especially Alyssa, knows how much I love this man, but come on just feel the music and sing, you sound amazing just do it, don't preform it.)
8. Taylor is singing a song that reminds me of that crooner from the early stage with the bobble head. And he is singing about being CRAZY... yeah that makes sense.
9. Paris looked like Lil Kim's 12 year old daughter while singing Moulin Rouge muZAK.
10. Fantasia is sitting behind Paula the whole time and has something silver on her head. Is that hair?
Sorry, I just couldn't help but notice.

Image of the Month
This is my retro-photo I took. I did it up to look like a 50's shot. Maybe a little "Far From Heaven"-esk. What do ya think?

A Change.
Man this time change thing bugs me. Why is it that I am the only one at Grace who can wake up during the time change? Seriously, I don't get it. We don't set our clocks forward until 2 pm. That means I lose vital afternoon lazy moments. What a shame.
Nevertheless, I am very rested here. I had a good weekend. Did a little writing, reading, playing, and cleaning. My goal is to clean up all of my miserable messy piles that I have some how collected. I still am in favor of the argument that little house elves are in the Shaw home, who make things go all higgilty-piggilty. Seriously, a good smattering of rubbish covers my desk now. What's that about. It feels like my desk at work (aka the place where old toys and random urgently important papers come to die).
Anyway. This weeks goals are to make sure Katharine McPhee (Parker's lady) gets in the top 3 (not the bottom 3), to deposit three large checks into the bank (possibly exchanging the money for Sacagawea coins so I can swim through them like Uncle Scrooge), and to re-issue Mafia names to those who were once neglected or unknown at the time of initial issuing.
Es todos.
