Movie Time...

The Producers...

This was simply a silly musical, that if you care for musicals and things that mock NeoNazis, chances are you will like this one. Nathan Lane, played his typical Broadway self, and Matthew Broderick was in his quiet, dorky character --reflections of Inspector Gadget causing this movie reviewer to tremble in fear... (But come on every-time you see him you think: 1. It's Ferris Bueller. And 2. Man, he's married to Sarah Jessica Parker--lucky dawg, you gotta love the guy). Uma Thurman played the saucy Ulla and did a pretty good job being a Sweed--she did flaunt it and if she was singing, I'd say she exceeded my expectation for her singing abilities. And finally, the hilarious Will Farrell played his typical looney, off-the-wall, make you laugh out loud, larger than life character.

Overall, I thought it was a Rice Cake and Peanut Butter movie... It moved along well, but the last twenty to thirty minutes dragged on and on and on. I felt as though they could have cut out on some of the ending songs that were probably better for the stage and not the screen (Maybe I thought this because I had to pee really bad). You don't need to rush out to see the Producers in the movie theatre, unless you're a die hard supporter of all things Mel Brooks or Broadway, just add it to your list of NetFlix.

Overall: Rice Cakes and Peanut Butter

Memorable quote- "May I take your hats, coats, swastikas?"
