Middletown here I come...
Can you believe that I am going to New York on Tuesday... Monday is LA and Tuesday... NY!!! Yeah baby!
Well, today was a good day at work, the kids were funny, and I had a really good time dancing to the Matterhorn Music. It was good because all of the kids were laughing and dancing. That's good stuff...
I was interviewed again for a person's thesis which is always funny. To think that I could be included in someone's work is silly. But I had fun answering questions...
So now, this wonderful weekend awaits. I will be watching at least 4 movies about New York... You've Got Mail!, Spiderman, Serendipity, and something else... I'm open for suggestions. A little packing, a little movie watching... And yeah baby off I go.
Holla at me... And Holla at the Burrow for going to DISNEYLAND! You guys are going to have so much fun!

A Weekend of Peace
In the words of Destiny's Child, "It's the weekend and it's time for freakin."
Well, maybe not for me. But yes, the weekend is here. I had a great week, only 2 days of real classroom stuff, Disneyland with my dad, completing my action plan for my stipend (cha ching!), and getting my hair cut. Much to Susie's joy I shaved my face, but now I look like I'm 12 so I really think I need to grow the old beard back. Sure it is a little patchy, and I look like a nutty professor--Doc maybe (a little Dopey I admit), but still. I think I need it so people won' think I am a Freshman in high school. Come on, who wants to relive being a freshman in high school.
As for my weekend, last night I hung out with Parker and Tani Panti. We had a good time and there was much rejoicing. I fell asleep and then woke up like three of the seven dwarfs (Sleepy, Sneezy, and Weirdo) and I realized "Boggart! I need to get gas!" But can you believe it, the gas station was closed! So I had to fill up a mile out of my way! Blastisists! Oh well, nevertheless my car is filled up with gas and I was filled up with rage (add Grumpy to the dwarf list).
Today I am going to listen to New York themed music, buying pants to wear in New York, and watching movies that are set in New York. So yes, I'm in a New York State of Mind.
Which dwarf am I today? Happy, obviously.
Can you remember which Dwarf I didn't mention? Don't you go looking up their names online!

Top 5 Reasons...
The top 5 reasons why Michael Shaw is having a great hour...
Number 5- Because I just got home from work and I don't have to go back until Thursday cause I'm going to Disneyland.
Number 4- Because I just woke Tanya up from her sleep of death.
Number 3- Because I just got a MySpace message from Parker confirming Cory Ramirez's mob name Freddy Falcone aka Sticky Donut.
Number 2- Because I just realized I have an afro.
and the Number 1 reason Michael Shaw is having a great hour is...
Number 1- Because I just realized the pure devilish satisfaction that changing your desktop background can fulfill. Oh the guilty pleasures of wickedness---- evil laughter--I'm embracing my Slytherine traits tonight I guess.

Week In Review
Well the week has come to a close, and I admit it, I've had a good week.
Let's start on Thursday...
School was fun, I finished up doing a Goldielocks and The Three Bears theme where I got to play magician and hide a donut ring under a bowl and mix them up (does that make sense?). I like doing that I feel like a swindler who lives on the streets on New York just waiting to earn a buck. After work was over I jetted home to do some dishes and clean up for later events (keep reading to learn more). Then I headed over to the Burrow. As I drove up I said to myself, "Michael, you can only stay for one hour." I grabbed my iBook and then stepped out of the car where I saw Becks setting up the BBQ pit, and I said to myself, "Aww, what could two hours hurt." Its like an addiction, once you start you can't stop. So we had our meeting and Erin even came to a short portion to it--Kudos to her!
After the meeting I headed to church where I came in to a warm welcome. We talked about inclusion and showing a repentant heart, which was funny because that's sort of what the Burrow was talking about. After the college group was over we all headed over to my house for the premiere of Survivor: Guatemala. I love it! Stephanie is back! She's so hardcore! I love her. After that everyones stayed at my house til about 1, so nevertheless I was pretty tired.
Yesterday, I went to work (cough cough)... Ok... I went to some meetings... Ok I went to a lot of meetings (but I also snuck in a trip to Costco and Olive Garden). After work though, Tani Panti called and said we were going to SLO with Anissa mo Food. So we drove up there and walked the town (does that make us sound like hookers?), and spent an hour and a half in Barnes and Noble (does that make us sound like nerds?). After that we ate some dinner, talked with the locals, and per Anissa's request we went and saw Jon, Morgan, and Amy. That was fun.
After that I was very much like a hamburger on Sponge Bob, so we left... well mostly. And we headed home. After that my life is a blur. I know I ate a granola bar, and maybe talked to some people, but ya know... Who knows... (I know who knows!!!) (Ok.. sorry about all of these strange codes, if they make no sense its because --they make no sense.)
Alas, I conquered my goal for today already by waking up at 11. So now I sit here and sigh .. Only 3 more days till I can Soar over California.

I have seen the Light!
So life has been pretty good. I've been a little sick lately, just sort of droggy and asthma induced. Preschool life is going great, and teaching at Hancock has been really fun. I've been observing thus far, and in three weeks I'll start teaching lessons to the students. Its funny, cause it just feels right. I guess the beard makes me feel like a nutty professor or something. But yes--its a lot of work to balance the two, so I've been pretty tired.
But I can see the light, the end of the tunnel. The gates of heaven have opened and it is good. Wait replace "heaven" with "Disneyland." Oh yeah, that's right ladies and gentlemen, I'm going to Disneyland! Tuesday and Wednesday! Its going to be kind of amazing. And then after that I am going to NYC BABY! October is just around the corner and I can't wait! I'm taking my vacation from Oct. 3-10... Ohh that reminds me Dore... uhh maybe wait to take your day off... You can celebrate your Birthday that Sunday but don't get too crazy on us! :-)
Speaking of my HP peeps... I was a little bummed cause the Burrow called me and canceled the meeting because RJK forgot to take her potion and she turned into a werewolf. A shame really, I should have told them that I can turn into a Stag so I totally could have hung out. I'm an unregistered Anamagus... Nevertheless, we will meet soon, maybe Friday or maybe even Thursday.
In other news, I am writing my children's book tonight. I am very excited about it right now because I am in solitude and just diving into my work. The story has jumped to another world right now and I am having fun playing with the character stories and throwing in little jokes. If I keep it up, I could actually get this thing published in the next 5 years. Whoo hoo!
Off to the world of my imagination... (I feel like Willy Wonka right now)

Name Drop
Ok... So I guess writing famous character names gets some attention on blogs...
Charlie Bucket, The Shredder, Captain Planet, Papa Smurf, Muffy the Mouse, Jafar, and Tweaker from the Hugga Bunch.
Ok. So on my last blog I mentioned that I sat next to Zak Morse. Not the one from the show... But a guy I know named Zak Morse, and yes the rumors are true EVERYONE at my table started singing (except for the little guy who is only 6). It was good stuff.
Kudos to you who read my blog. You deserve a medal for withstanding such boredom and silliness.

A World of Slogans
So last night turned out to be a night of greatness...
So, the night started out when all of the kids were picked up early... When all the kids go home before 4:25 on a Friday night, you know good things are ahead. So, we sat around and I did a counseling session for a friend in need and then it was time to leave Hancock, cause we can "start here and go anywhere"... We opted for Happy Hour. We headed to Applebees where apparently we "felt good in the neighborhood" because everyone had a little something something to drink. Peach-Lemonade was the choice of drink for those under 5 foot.
After that I felt like we were on a commercial for Applebees... All of a sudden I realized who I was sitting next to-- Zak Morse!!! Come on guys!!! Saved by the Bell!!!! So I became very very excited and I started singing the theme song, and next thing I know all 7 of us were singing the theme song in full voice. The whole restaurant grew quiet as they realized, "Ahhh it's Friday, and it's Happy Hour."
After that I saw a group of those waiters and waitress going to sing happy birthday to a customer. OK... Let's all admit it, this is one of the silliest things ever. A bunch of people in uniform march up to some stranger and start clapping and cheering because someone whispers "It's her birthday" (while pointing rudely at someone who looks oblivious to it all). So I decided, my turn. I heard that obnoxious clapping rumbling next to the bar, so I jumped up and followed with the group and sang along. Hey, I was just "feelin' good in the neighborhood."
Well, that went over well, because one of my friends at the table claimed to have peed her pants in laughter. So I figured I better be like George and leave on a high note. So I took off, and a couple hours later Mickey Blue Eyes shows up and two minutes after that Tani Panti walks in. We decide its time to head to the Grad, and we give Tani a 3 min. time limit to "dress to impress." We then placed the same restriction upon Fat Tony, and then we were off to Salsa Night. It was a hot time in the salsa bowl. Comment for the day- Why do guys have to look serious on the dance floor and girls need to look like they are overly ecstatic?
After a bit of dancing and listening to people speak Spanish for days, we decided to head home where I sang the lullaby "I can't Make You Love Me" cause Fat Tony kept quoting it ALL ALL ALL night. Next thing you know, the backseat is sleeping and we're done. The end, no mas, es todos.
As for today? The world is my oyster and alas I'm allergic to shell fish.
Question for the day:
If you are significantly overweight why does Leptopril believe you have seen their add? Is it like a thestral where only fat people can see it?

Me on TV
Ok guys... Basically I was on National TV tonight.
So a few weeks back Cory starts going on and on about some contest that he was going to enter. He had to take a picture of himself, and blah blah blah... But it turns out he is one of the 9 finalists to win the title of "The Greatest Dodger Fan on EARTH!" So I send the word out to vote for him, he works overtime to win the contest... And...
TA DA!
He is the GREATEST Dodger fan on earth! He won a butt-load of prizes and got to go to the game tonight. Well I called him, cause I couldn't find him... And then in the 8th inning...
I see Cory and Dezzie sitting there in the front row--TALKING ON THE PHONE TO ME! Ha. I was totally on TV. Just like when George W. was at the Olympics in Salt Lake and everyone wondered who he was talking to... Everyone tonight was wondering... "Ooo I wonder who that guy in the front row is talking to right now?"
I'll be putting my autograph on e-bay for all of you hardcore fans...
Holla at the Dodgers for playing a great game tonight!

Friends are Like...
OK… Maybe this is horrible, but I was talking with my mejor amigo tonight about the different types of friends one could have in his/her life and I came up with this theory: Some friends/people are like certain types of events and here’s how they go:.. Wait... This is suppose to be funny. Not necessarily "ha-ha" funny but, "oh that's funny" funny. So just laugh at my silliness. OK... Read:
1. Some friends are like going to a cheerleading competition. Other than the obvious peppy annoyance that this event may cause, is there anything bad that could actually happen at this event? Happy girls dancing around and leaping through the air in excitement? Even when you’re totally annoyed with the whole idea of a cheerleader competition you just enjoy being around them, cause heck—you start to believe that you’ve got spirit yes you do, and strangely you want to just respond “yes I do… how about you?”
2. Some friends are like a going to a baseball game. When you see them you are happy to see them, but you could always catch up with them on ESPN or just wait to hear about their adventures the next day in the office. Sure, they’re great fun when you have a hotdog and a beer in hand and you’re ready for a special event, but let’s face it… A hot dog and a beer every day really loses its special-ness.
3. Some friends are like going to a wrestling match. You enjoy the quarrel that takes place when you’re on the outskirts, and you tend to route for them, but you hope and pray that you’ll never I mean NEVER be the one in the ring, especially not the referee. Who wants to be in the middle of all that?
4. Some friends are like going to a chess match. As odd and awkward as it may seem, something just draws you into the intellectual conflict that they bring to you. You may not want to admit (yet) your secret appreciation for their analytical thinking (and your definitely not going to tell them that you have a picture of a rook and a bishop on your desktop) but you don’t mind calling them a mate, checkmate that is.
5. Some friends are like going to a Quidditch Match. You know its never really going to happen. They are a nice theory, but in reality they’re not going to fly, they’re not going to catch the Snitch, and you’re not going to watch anything other than them suiting up to go onto the pitch.
6. Some friends are like going to a pep rally. You get excited, there’s anticipation, and the best part there is a sense of hope, joy, and a feeling that as long as you stick together you can conquer the world (or at least those cross town rivals). Even when you walk away from the rally you still take that pom pom, a piece of the rally with you, reminding you to work it like Aloha.
Any other types you can think of?

The Best Week Ever
Ok VH1 I'm back! This week I was pretty much on fire!
Things were goin my way on the highway so ladies and germs VOTE FOR ME! Cause I had the best week ever!
I met some amazing new friends on Sunday.
I woke up early on Monday.
I rolled out with the Burrow on Tuesday.
I went out with my Corbina buddies and house-mom to SLO. Pint nite.
I went to the movies on Thursday with a funny set of cousins and a girl whose name sounds like Panties.
I did laundry for the first time in three weeks (excluding a trip to work) and moved items out on Friday.
I created mob names with some of the most hilarious people ever, saw my cute little Casserole, met a real mob guy named Slick Nick, looked at a house that had lights on, explored for make out kids, hung out with Rose Vernon, watched Joe screw in light bulbs, laughed with Fat Tony, was touched by Trixie Fat Lips, and filled out invites for a baby named Korah.
I sang a little ditty at church trying to ignore my heart that had been turned to stone and wrote three pages of backstory for
my story (which I am almost ready to put into full chapter part--and if I may say so I am pretty pleased with my brain processes so far!) and now I'm blogging today.
So yeah... Best Week Ever... VH1 hook a brother up!
peace, love, and harry potter

Life at the Burrow
I have a great job, a great group of friends and a great life.
Today made me laugh. School was a lot of fun, and yes. The rumors are true--I shaved my beard off. Yes, yes I look like I am a young whipper snapper again, and not like I am 42. So... Hooray and Boo to that. I think I may grow it back. You can comment on your personal perspective and opinions on this matter.
So I get to school and the kids were just wild and crazy today. I really like this group, however I miss my old group of kids. They all tried coming into my classroom and I was sad cause I had to turn them away. Oh well, such is life. At least they all really like me and respect me.
After work Tani and I went to Orcutt where we laughed at each other's silliness. I then decided I needed to go say hi to Austen so off I went... and then...
Time for the Burrow. We had a grand ol' time playing Harry Potter Scene It (kind a fun--but can drag on when you are waiting for clips of Goblet and they don't show up). Tonight was our last HP night before Brenna takes off for Davis! We'll miss you girl! But we'll always have HP! She made some good ol' M Rosemerta's Pumpkin Cookies and I was able to take some home. We had a couple of good ideas, one of which includes inviting JK to our meetings. Just to sit in as a listener. (I hope she'll come)
Now I sit here, getting ready to head to bed and I sigh, because my story has been on hold but tonight I got a good idea of something new to include... Ahhh, life is good.

Easy like a Monday Morning...
Ok... So I admit it. I went to bed at an unusually early hour. 6:30 pm.
But hey I was tired, and trying to recover from my weekend of madness. It was really great... here's a run down.
Friday:
7:15-2:00 School, school, school. It's going really well and I love my group of kids. I do however look forward to the weekends now.
2:00-4:00 Finish washing my chones and other goods for my trip.
4:00-7:30 Drive in never ending traffic to Marina Del Ray for a pop in at the Aunt and Uncles.
7:30-9:00 Hang out and freak out because we can't download ANYTHING on the computer there. SLOWEST THING EVER!
9:00-9:20 Check in to the hotel and feel the stomach ache from hunger.
9:20-10:00 Finally eat dinner in a Pizza Sports Bar with my dad.
10:00-onward Embrace my fate of being the youngest one in the room and sleep on the hard floor right next to the air conditioner. Brrrrrr....
Saturday:
7:30-7:50 Pretend to be sleeping on the floor while the family hustles and bustles around the room.
7:50-8:10 Attempt to shower in the small bathroom and contemplate shaving beard and head.
8:10-8:20 Get Team Omegas (Me and Susie's) vehicle from F-Units (The Family's) house.
8:20-9:15 Wait for Team Alpha (Chris, Joel, and Dave) to show their faces.
9:25 and 39 seconds -9:28 Avoid a call from Lisa where I tell her I am in Santa Maria. (Lie #1)
9:28-9:45 Team Omega jets off for the Malibu Shell Station where I deface public property (OK... I really just put a sticker or two on a phone booth, which I was told was later attempted to take off... No harm done)
9:45-10:00 Team Omega realizes we need more for this special occasion and we high tale it into Ralphs where we buy balloons, flowers, and ice.
10:00-10:05 Team Omega spots an accomplice--Armstrong. There is much rejoicing.
10:05-10:15 Team Omega spots Team Alpha and laughs as we run for the beach.
10:15:11:45 Team Omega plants the last clue and awaits on the beach with some Fly Girls and a gal heading to NY with some cool guys named Michael.
11:45-who knows when
LISA SHAW, my lovely sister, is engaged!!! That's right! Team Alpha, and Team Omega along with the F-Unit have successfully assisted the man of the hour, Kyle, into an awesome engagement party! Whoo hoo! It was amazingly fun.
After that, I headed out to Courtney McCutcheon's where I had a GREAT time meeting some EXTREMELY nice people. I had a great time playing cards, catch phrase, and getting to know everyone there. After that I ended up coughing, sneezing and scratching because... well... Cats and me don't mix. Also, feather sofas and me don't mix too well either. Despite my nose dripping like a leaky cauldron, I had a really good time and the next morning I woke up and headed to church with Court. Then we high tailed it out of there after greeting some people and watched.. The Brother's Grimm (sorry Tani). It was a good movie, a little on the odd side but what can you expect from The Brother's Grimm. I'd give it a C+ or a B- the jury is still out on that one.
Then I drove home and realized... Hey time to blog. So I did my HP Blog times 10 and neglected this one so alas here I am at 5 something in the morning alert and awake writing my life in blog format. Oh... Life is funny. I like it. Well time to get up and in the shower. Another day begins...

HPFA (Harry Potter Fans Anonymous)
Ok... My blog shows it. My library shows it. My wrist shows it.
I'm a Harry Potter Addict! And I'm not ashamed. No--it doesn't consume my life, but I think it is one of the greatest vehicles to promote literacy the 20th and 21st Century has seen. I love it. It's so complex, yet so simple in a lot of life lessons. I really enjoy my conversations a la the Kiniry sites... So I may be adding more HP info on here.
Tonight I ventured over to the Burrow to enjoy some AMAZING conversation about HP. We even started in on our credo! We're brainstorming names for the group and I'd love your input. We've tossed around a few ideas, but rather than try to brainwash you, I'll employ the use of Occlumency (read A Clue Men See) so you can't read my thoughts. So go ahead and leave some comments here about what you think we should call our group.
I may be opening up a second... yes you read correctly... a second blog just for my HP addiction. Bling... Blang... Blog will probably stay mostly with my daily life and strange happenings (which includes some HP talk, but for the most part will be a synopsis of my life).
OK... Post away my fine feathered friends (if you don't have owls, simply click the add comment button below). (Oh yeah--school started and I'm in training to teach college level classes--blah blah blah)

You scored as Albus Dumbledore
You are very wise, observant, and analyctical. You have a very "well-organized" mind, which makes you function in a calm and fair manner. Though you get angered easily, its rare of you to ever act our of temper. You are constantly seeing the good in people and are naturally forgiving because of it. You're easy to please and a great person to learn from.

And here's to you Mrs. Robinson
So today was an amazing day. I woke up and worked, worked, worked. After a great deal of typing and editing I watched Kathy Griffin is... on BRAVO! and I have to say that I am the male, Santa Maria version of that woman. Her comedy is based on interactions with people who are eccentric, and so is mine! Funny stuff.
So after working and watching TV I headed to class.. for... THE LAST TIME! That's right I finished tonight! I am now officially have my college work totally completed. I don't ever have to go back to school, but I will. I AM THE GRADUATE! (No pun intended Mr. Parker)
Despite being totally dead to the world I needed to celebrate so I did what any red blooded American would do and called up my buddy Parker and headed out on the town--well not this town cause it doesn't have anything open past 7. We considered looking up my teacher at a bar (and here's to you...), but then opted for leaving a dog and a road construction blockade on the front door step of a certain female SLOian. Anyone guess who?
After that we went cruising for chicks. We saw a few that stuck our fancy, but the Starlet Cafe was calling our name. After some great conversation we both realized the night was fading away.
Overall, an amazing day.
Here are a list of funny things I heard today:
"Michael! You're a bachelor now!"
"You know she painted my microphone white, girl?"
"I can't imagine old people (50 year old people) having to bend over."
"I got $600 for my scrap gold!"'
"Ladies and gentlemen, Clay Gaykin!"
"Let's go look for ghost whores at McLintocks."
"Let's go look for Spirtiual Whores like Trishel."
"The Harlots at the Starlet."
"Michael Shaw you are the most amazing person I have ever met, just being around you makes me so happy. If only I could be like you I would know the beauty of your genius."
Ok one of those isn't real, but I'm not saying which one it is...

The Painted House
Yes I am up to some major trickery here this weekend. Needless to say I can't say what I am going to do in fear of being rebuked harshly. Nevertheless, it involves a shade of yellow paint and me having to sneak in somewhere. He he he... Well actually I am justified in doing what I will do because technically it should have happened three years ago. Here's to me.
Drink with me.
Drink with me.

Words of Wisdom from Sara
If you trust, in your soul.
Keep your eyes on the goal.
Then the prize, you won't fail.
That's your grail.
That's your grail.
So be strong
Keep right on
Till the end of your song
Do not fail
Find your grail
Find your grail
Find your grail.
Life is really up to you.
You must choose what to pursue.
Set your mind on what to find
and there's nothing you can't do.
So keep right to the end
You'll find your goal my friend
You won't fail,
Find your grail.
Find your grail.
Find your grail.
Ahhh Ahhh Ahhhh
Ahhh ahhh ahh ahh ahh
Ahhh ahhh ahhh ahhha hahh
find your grail. Find your grail.
When your life seems to drift.
When we all need a lift.
Trim your sail.
You won't fail.
Find your grail.
Find your grail.
Life is really up to you.
You must choose what you pursue.
Set your mind on what you find.
And there's nothing you can't do...
WHoo hooo hooo whooa oha oha oha--
Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
I know you'll find your grail!
Keep your eyes on the goal.
Then the prize, you won't fail.
That's your grail.
That's your grail.
So be strong
Keep right on
Till the end of your song
Do not fail
Find your grail

Trim your sail.
You won't fail.
Find your grail.
Find your grail.
Life is really up to you.
You must choose what you pursue.
Set your mind on what you find.
And there's nothing you can't do...
WHoo hooo hooo whooa oha oha oha--
Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
I know you'll find your grail!

The Harry Potter Birthday
So here it is. I did it last night. I did it, and I'm not ashamed.
I went to Harry Potter's Birthday Party.
That's right hosted at the Burrow by the Kiniry family (aka the Weasly's with all Ginny's and no Percy's). It was so fun... We had Butterbeer which was homemade---the official recipe. We also took time to play trivia games and draw pictures of Harry Potter characters. It was SO much fun!
Lisa thought we were all a bit over the top, but still. We had a really good time.
Enjoy my pirated pictures...

A lot of Random Behaviors
Yeah it is true. I am random.
This weekend I didn't really have many plans but I've had a good time thus far. Let's see Thursday night was an adventure of excitement... Worship went pretty well I enjoy singing the Everything You Are very very very much. Then I went out to IHOP with my homie and home girl Parker M and Heather B. That was a big moment of hilarity. Ashli then came over and we hung out like rock stars at Starbucks. Then I went to sleep.
Friday was a day of arduous work. I sat around and did homework for 9 1/2 hours. Yes. It's true. Lots of homework. After that Tanya and I hung out together with my rommie Andrew. We had the STRANGEST conversations about life LOVE and other mysteries. Then Lisa rolled into town and we jumped across the ShawPad. Life was good and then in the end everyone went to their separate corners and went to bed.
This morning I woke up so happy because my sheets didn't fall off and then I read a little Harry Potter Trivia. After that I met up with the Li and we went over to a Movie and a Wedding. First we saw Must Love Dogs, then we went to the wedding of Luis y Gracielda. It was very nice. Great food, good people and a good date night gift (a little boasting works it for me like Aloha).
So now I saw manna manna do do do do do manna manna do do do do do...
That's totally my life.

A bit of Random Behaviour...
Yes you heard it here first folks. Alyssa Giorgi and Tanya Double T Lee are on their way to the Mountain of Magic. They are really silly. I suggested going, or they did, I seconded it, or they did. And now off they go.
Nevertheless, I am now going to work on my homework a ton. I have a bunch to do, and not much time to do it in. As each day passes I realize, in the words of Ms. Beauregard "Eyes on the prize." Yeah, you better believe it 16 days until I am done with college--- FOREVER. Or I suppose I should say until I decide to go to my next college which will be in a few weeks. Oh well. It sounds better saying I am done FOREVER... which in the words of Mrs Bucket is, "Sometimes when grown ups say forever, what they really mean is for a really long time."
Ok kids... That's all he wrote.

Weekend of Wonder part 719
Yes that's right it is my regular installment of my wonderful weekend. Well this weekend was way entertaining for a number of reasons...
Number 1- The Mole Party Part 2. I believe Andrew did an impeccable job at being The Mole. My favorite game was the very first "Mr. Toad's Wild Ride" and then "The Little Mermaid Dip." They both turned out really well. After the game was over Parker, Tanis, and Heather B sat in my room and watched the video playback via my Apple. It was really funny because... Well yeah. That's that. Enough said.
The next morning I woke up bright and early and drove and drove to hang out with some good company. The day went pretty well, more to come on that in the future.... But then later I was able to meet up with Lisa and Kyle for... Subway. A bit of a let down to just see them for an hour or so but Kyle was doing something at his house and Lisa was doing her girls night. So alas Harry Potter kept me company on the way home.
I came home today to go to church and hang out with the cute little Casserole. Awww... What a sweet little Mud-Blood. Anyway the fam is gone, but I am here attempting to write my story. Now I sit here watching Britney's Chaotic... Oh the good old days when I was in love with Britney. Now it's just me and Apple.
Shaw out.

Black Day
Today was a very interesting day. I really didn't have a good day at all today until the clock struck 5. Hum... Sounds like a backwards version of Cinderella. Ooh too painful to think about Cinder.
Well... I liked school and I had a good time with most of the kids, except I was very sad. Maybe it was because we wore black to school today for color day. But I think it has more to do with conversations concerning the relationships of the past with the better looking version of me who is scoring a 8.8. (I may have you act as my stand in for church... Get that sining voice ready... Props to you for that)
Never the less.. I have been sad today.
So I attempted to cheer myself up by inviting myself over to my parents house for dinner. That went OK. Not much to report... So then I went to the Kiniry's house to find some cheer. And I FOUND SOME! We sat there and did some talk about HP and HBP which was stimulating and oh so funny. I brought the ladies some balloons and we released them in honor of the book happenings. That was great. They posted some pictures of me online which are in the words of the 8.8 "Hilaaaarious!"
Then I discovered there were happenings at my house so I came over here and talked for awhile. Nicole, Tanya, Alyssa and I all went to Taco Bell and listened to the words of Kelly. She speaks to my heart. Seriously. Props to Alyssa for driving us in an old person's car and then parking it on the lawn.
So then I sat up here reading HP and the SS with my homies Tani and Ausi. That was way funny. Ausi makes a good Hagrid. But I still gloat that next to Jim Dale I can work it like Aloha when reading Harry Potter books. Anyway... Now I sit here preparing for my party tomorrow and I cry and I beg... love me love me, say that you love me. Fool me fool me, go on and fool me.
Whoo talk about a blast from the past. Ohh dear it's late.

The Half-Blood Prince
That's right ladies and germs. I have finished the story of beauty. Harry Potter you rock my world! SPOILER WARNING FOR THE NEXT LINE- I am sad.
That's all. I'm sad because I have another few years to wait for the last edition. I have a ton of predictions about the next book that will round it off until the end. I am eagerly awaiting the HP Discussion Group. P.S. If you know the Kiniry web site let me know I need to look it up for pictures from the party and other fun.
Nevertheless, Anissa came up this weekend... How wonderful and overwhelmingly exciting. We saw a view of paradise, we simply looked around and viewed it. It was awesome. I loved it.
Other news... My brain is fried. I didn't do drugs I just can't focus because of my HP trivia floating through my head.

If you trust in your soul...
Keep your eyes on the goal, yadie ya hoo prize, you won't fail. Find your grail. Find your Grail.
(This is really just a bit of silliness)
So life has been as exciting as a porcupine in a balloon store. Well sort of if you count the amazing (scratch that) the brilliant happenings over the past few days. Today we worked it out like Aloha on the worship team. I did give off a little bit of a yawn when we sang the sleeping song but we did work it.
Last night I was fortunate enough to hang out with Parker, Tanis, Captain Morgan, and Jon Juan. I was happy because we are getting that apartment as clean as a dog lost in a car wash. During our time hanging out with the Captain we watched someone sing about being a hero--Was I the only one in church today who felt a song coming on during Paul Nelsons prayer today? Did you ever know that you're my hero?
Anyway last night we were talking about opening up a coffee house. I am all for it however I believe a coffee shop needs to be interesting place where you sell more than just coffee... Maybe t-shirts, underwear, or you could even offer coffee for interesting trades. However the Captain disagrees with me. So I just suggest a name... The International Facility Of Coffee. But everyone freaks out... It would make a great t-shirt.
Well after that we ate food from a box owned by a man named Jack. That was just the strangest thing it reminded me of a sardine can... We went back to the pad and watched TV about Jerry Springer Ruling the World (Shout out to JLou), and the three men watched the ladies fall apart... Morgan dashing to the Loo (Shout out to Jenn Loo)... and Tanya passing out on the LoveSac (Shout out to the LoveSack and its bountiful blessings of bun beauty). So I told Jon I would beat him another day and took off in the ShawMobile. I kept my pact and everything--even though I nearly fell asleep at the wheel. I rock like Cleveland on the Drew Carry Show.
Now I sit here basking in the glory of Corbina after watching the Worlds that went to War. And I reflect on the truth that HP and the HBP is coming soon and very soon. And so it is... I can't take my eyes off of you, I can't take my mind off of you. I can't take my eyes off of you. I can't take my eyes off of you. Harry Potter you are my grail.
FIND THE GRAIL MICHAEL. AND WHEN YOU DO I'LL BE THERE WAITING FOR YOU! GOODBYE! GOODBYE!!!

Dunk Party- WoW pt 3
To those of you who say I don't write enough and I just use pictures,
This was just an AWESOME Weekend of Wonders (Part 3)! And the weekends keep getting better!
Ok... so my official weekend started on WEDNESDAY NIGHT! Yes! No class! What a treat! So I had a jolly old time not having class and hung out with my homies. Shout out to Parker cause he hangs out with Asian people on Wednesdays normally...
THURSDAY I woke up bright and early to go help my dad (Mr. Shaw-- the original) clean out his classroom. OH MY GOODNESS! The memories--they a'flooded back to me. It was cool getting some really cool worksheets and projects to take back to my home... Well now the sorting starts so that sucks. So Thursday night was AMAZING at College Group. Shout out to my group Jon, Morgan, Frank, Allie, and sort of Heather B. That was one of the best college groups since What's So Amazing About Grace? Shout out to Parker cause he wasn't in my group.
FRIDAY I woke up around 9:30 and headed down to Universal City walk where I met up with Cory and Dezie for some good clean fun at Universal Studios. It was cool cause I got to see the studio tour and we did some walk around stuff. Then we met up for my... gulp... gulp... date. Anissa! Hooray! What a sweetie. We went to Hard Rock Cafe, bought some gum and lemon drops for only $4.05 (urg), went and saw Batman Begins on the IMAX (Phriggen AMAZING), and said good-bye to Cory and the wife (and the baby), and went out on our own. We had a smashing good time and then met up with Lisa and the K-man. I got to see my color wall in orange thanks to Kyle and then we headed out to a party somewhere that turned out to be an adventure of house snooping. I said goodnight to Anissa and went with Lisa to Taco Bell at 12:30 in the morning where we had a BMW follow us... Wow... Busy day... Shout out to Parker for a shout on my myspace asking me questions...
SATURDAY I woke up and went over to the K-man's pad where I had an AWESOME breakfast thanks to the Patina influence on Kyle. 4 stars for sure. Then I met a guy who is going to be on a reality show this fall (more to come on that one on a future blog), and I headed home for SM. I called Jon and Morgan and they teased me like none other, but I still love them... They made me a little dinner treat and the three of us then went out and saw Bewitched where Morgan saw a preview for RENT and cried. "Yes Morgan. Columbia Pictures make movies (Columbia not Warner Bros I found out)." The movie was pretty good but I didn't cry. Shout out to Parker who was throwing up at this point...
SUNDAY I woke up and went to church where I had an AMAZING worship time. It was totally spirit focused. AMEN to that! Must have been all that diva sining from Herc that got me excited. Then I ran the 2s and 3s for Jenn Allen which was a piece of cake---no one should ever get paid to do that--EVER. And then we all went out for some food that was styled Salvadorian. It was good. We had an Apple 2E party where we played the Trail and Tanya and I were lemonade tycoons (SHOUT OUT!). And then the best of all...
PARKER WAS BAPTIZED LAST NIGHT! So the boys of Corbina threw him a DUNK PARTY. Where we dunked all of our food (it was only cookies and donuts-- butguess who came up with the idea--SHOUT OUT TO MYSELF!). A bunch of people came over and watch lame movies, except Herc, and the rest of us traveled the trail again. We also discovered that McDonalds is closer than 7-11 fancy that.
To sum up the week in 4 words?
SHOUT OUT PARKER!
AMAZING!

A Wonderful Weekend of Wonders part 2
Well this was a fun weekend! I went down south to Costa Mesa for Susie's 30th Birthday party. I made a rockin' movie for it. It was all about Susie... The one who would bring balance to the force. It was a lot of work but now it is done I am pleased with my efforts.
It was way fun and then we had a BBQ for Father's Day. Which was also wonderful.
Now I'm home and really exhausted from talking to Jennifer. I get really excited when I talk to her so I get tired.
Oh blah dee oh blah doe life goes on.

Ig and Li
We're all dressed up... Pretty in pink and perfect in a purplish shade.
The Shaw Fam
Almost all of us sitting outside having some good conversations about computers taking over the world.
Cass and Ig
Okay here is the pic that everyone has been bugging me about. I posted it finally. Me and my little Cass-arole.

A Weekend of Wonderful Wonders
Yes! It is true. I had a really fun weekend with my fabulous freaky family. Friday was SO busy with work, school, and the party that my sisters and I threw for my dad. I think there were at least 100 people there. It was real nice thanks to Susie's extra work and Lisa's helping hands. Then it was a lot of fun just to relax on Saturday with my aunts, uncles, and cousins at the luau, and then to hang out on Sunday with old friends like the Kineri and Jensens. What a great weekend!
Matt, Marlo, Mikala, Nick
The whole fam in front of Jack's after a wonderful reunion with some amazing people. We miss our Matt and Marlo so much!
Kiniry's House
Kongo Bongos are awesome. The Kiniry fam is way better at it though. Watch out... here comes Harry Potter time.
Li and Ky
Aww... This is one from the Luau that we attended in honor of dad.
The Fam
We're all singing a song that Donna or Linda wrote for my dad. It was very nice.

Andrew
When squeezing the lighter fluid, one would not want to look into the spout. Oh well... At least he looks like a pirate.
Dierdre
Our resident house mom who takes care of us. She really does! She cleans, does dishes, sweeps the floor and brings food over. Wow what a gal!
FIRE!
Yes... After a few hours it finally happened thanks to Mandrew.
Corbina my Love
Here I am. Sitting at the breakfast table at Corbina and I'm having a grand-chawhe of a time. I slept in today... Which is wonderful... I played games on my cell phone which is pretty much amazing... I charged and loaded up my digital camera which is AWESOME... And now I am sitting here on wireless loving my iBook.
Here are some shots of the house. Pretty ghetto right now but once I get my DIY hands on the place it should go well...

The Zen Room
I'm working on this room. Yesterday I got pillows, the cool plant, and that cool lamp shade. Well... We'll see how it goes. I actually bought two purple pillows. Carrie would be proud. If anyone has anything Zen looking let me know...
Michael's Blue Room
This is my unfinished room. Wha La! Blue! Yeah... It is a bit smaller but I like it.
The Yard
Well... We have to clean it up before the BBQ today... But still nice yard huh?

Kevin and Britney
Can you believe that Kevin was born the same day Britney was? The same year? And she married a guy named Kevin?
Well here I am on Corbina. Rockin like a sockin. Things are good here. I have technology up the wazoo... I found a wireless connection and life is good.
I am really sad today because it is my last day with my kids. I have been with the same core group of children since they were 6 months old! And now they move on to bigger and somewhat better things. Today I treated my staff to lunch at the Olive Garden and fixed up the old class for the new group of kids who start on Tuesday.
Anyway... Life is good. I have a phone, a computer and tomorrow I am getting THE MOST AMAZING table on the Central Coast. Also I'm looking forward to meeting Michal's husband Michael. Should be great.
Ok...

Just around the river bend...
So I have been taking a turn here for the better I think. I just got a check from my work for 430 big ones to go out and get a new camera for the work place... cough cough... it is awesome to get back what was taken from you.
I finished most of my paper for my Communication class which is just funny. My teacher worked for Tony Robins. Come on anyone who has seen Shallow Hal knows why I think that is just too much to deal with.
I am getting all of my things together to go in my little room. Which I'm very excited about.
Harry Potter previews get me all excited for the new book... Thought of the day is that they should make previews for books.
Star Wars is in 24 hours exactly. I'm stoked about that. Austen says he's meeting us there so that's good beans.
And finally I'm amazing.
The end.

Domingo, domingo, domingo
Yes today is that pretend day of rest for me. It was a wonderful mother's day with out much mom, though. Sad enough I had too many plans, but I did promise to take mom out for a lunch on the town.
I woke up and started in on Kingdom Kids stuff. They were very sweet and sang in the first and second services at church. I heart them very much. Then I snuck out of church and ate lunch with my mom and dad before I had to run out again. I met up with Andrew, Jon and Kevin and we drove on the very very very slow 101 to Cal Poly. It took a whole hour to get there! We went to the Cal Poly v. Fulerton game that Andrew won tickets to via ESPN radio. Shout out to Andrew for the Trivial knowledge of a champ...
We watched the game and unknowingly Andrew and I were sunburnt. I got home and went to Michael's to buy some art canvas and then headed to church to set up for Kingdom Kids again. We did an art night which in my opinion was the best night of the year. It was very spiritual in my estimation.
Then my night went on and on and on. We had a drop in at Jim and Jenn's home... Which was ...
a) fun
b) long
c) boring
Take your pick. It was one of those. I was happy to talk to Morgan on the phone. I had a golden time doing that. And I learned that I could hear chords from songs.... whoo hoo.
I am overly introspective tonight so I will refrain from any personal comments on my psychological condition. But nevertheless, I am excited to go back to work this week and see the littler buggers. I do miss them. I'd rather stay away from the politics of the staff.. But that's part of life.

Wearin' that same old funky dress...
Ya got ta try a little tenderness!
And that's what is so AMAZING about Sara. She is SO talented (well I've only heard a little of her talent) and such a little hottie. We love those singers who know how to work it. I just barely got to know her.
Ok so I have been awaiting the arrival of my sister's pictures from the room Lisa and I did for the baby. We'll see if she remembers to send them to me... I somehow have my doubts. Nevertheless, we had a very good time in the ☠PIT of San Jose AKA K and J's home. It was fun though.
I discovered that I have another spiritual gift... The Gift of the Inside Track on Pac Man. Very fun I'd say. We got to see Katie as a MAJOR Prego this weekend and also we went out to dinner with Devon Shaw my lovely cousin who I saw at the NAEYC Conf this Fall. Ahh the good old days.
So after Lisa and I worked it up in San Jose I came home and was tired so I skipped out on practice and watched TV. It was Nicccccce. Get it? Rosie O'Donnell? The Bus? With my sister? Oh yeah. Sadly, it was actually a good character story. After that, or was it before that, I spent time looking up my favorite old TV shows on the internet.
Does anyone remember the family sit-com The Charmings? Those of you who do I'll buy you an apple. No fair if you heard my recap of it at the house the other night.
Ok... Well I only have about 7-15 more days at the Countrywood Manor and then its off to Corbina. I have to get going now cause my girlfriend Sara is calling me with her grail.

Has anyone ever watched...
Debby Travis? She has this wonderful paint that she paints a house with and she's a cross between Olivia Newton John and Martha Stewart. Odd? Yeah I'd say so.
Kristen Cunningham has really bad bronzer on right now.
Fleur looks great right now.
And today I forgot that I had a midterm... So I show up to class and say "Oh finger-knuckle I forgot to make a cheat sheet!" So I pull out a piece of paper and work it like a rolla-roid. I pull out all the information I can in the 5 mins I have and BOOM it's time for the test. I take it and WAH LAH! I did it! I had all the info I needed on my cheat sheet. WORK IT LIKE ALOHA!
Nevertheless I am having a good night because Lisa is home. Tanya, Lisa and I are watching TV and having In-and-Out. *YUCK!!!
Ok... Sullivina is coming into the world VERY soon so Li and I are headed up to the Jose this week. I'm off work so I may update my blog more because of the exciting adventures that may take place.
P.S. Movie lovers only spend 2 bucks on A lot Like Love... It's OK not the best, unless you like to see butt.

When I was a Little Boy...
I remember watching a lot of TV in my day... Yes yes... I am very media savvy these days... But...
Does anyone remember a TV show called The Snorks? I do. But no one else seems to recall the playful multi-colored aquatic animals with the strange looking snouts. The theme song would go "Come along with the Snorks. Swim (or perhaps sing) along with the Snorks. So much to see when you happen to be... Come along with the sing along with the swim along with the---SNORKS!"
Perhaps I am alone in my memories, but I urge you all to latch on to those memories of things that you loved. Write them down or tell a friend. When you have kids and you want to entertain them... Ask yourself what did I use to like to watch or do?
Just like today in class... PIRATES DAY! Arg me matey.. We be scurvy dogs ye bildge rats. It was way fun.
Ok... Remember the Snorks.

Life is a rollercoaster...
So my life is ok... then it sucks... then it is fun... then it bites...
So I took a few days off and in those days off I got my digital camera stolen or "borrowed..." Let's pray it wasn't stolen. Anyway I was happy to be in class this weekend I learned of some great stuff about my field and also about one of my friends! Can't post it yet cause she hasn't told others yet!
Well... I also went to the strawberry festival this weekend. It was very... very... Different?
Anyway... Overall I am happy with life...
Last night I spent 2 hours making 1 cake! From 12 to 2 in the morning!!! Can you believe it? It's Morgan's half birthday today so I made her it to surprise her... Low and behold she wasn't in the morning service so I didn't think she was coming to church. but she was there and I missed her. Because... Today I took some much needed time away with Andrew, Tanya, and Kevin. It was fun. We went to SLO and had some tri tip, got some Harry Potter on hold, looked at clothes (urg), and yea... That was about it... Now I am going to do homework and then party like a rock star.
rock n roll

The Blower's Daughter...
Yes that song is stuck in my head.
I don't know what it is about that horrible melody... But there it is.
So I have been spending the last few days LONGING for a days rest. I don't get a single day off thanks to school and church. But alas I have had a fun time doing both. It would just be nice to sleep in for a change. Oh well... Now that class just got out... I mean JUST got out, I am planning on going to a birthday party for Tailey (a little girl in my class). She asked me if I was coming and I told her yes. She looked over at Melissa and said, "See he's a good teacher."
That's pretty funny you've got to admit.
Anyway... My plan for the week is to go do something fun on Thursday because I am taking the day off. I need to get wild and do something crazy. Maybe I'll head out somewhere... I am going to (maybe...) take the week after next off ... Hopefully I can go see my Homegirls in the Sac... And while I'm on the topic...
SHOUT OUT TO THE HOMIE IN THE 805! Holla Park'a!
Thought for the day:
Stop shoulding on me. (say it fast... its more fun that way)

Gay Ghostwriter.
Here is what I think. The guy from the TV show Ghostwriter turned out to be gay... There I was watching the Real World when he said he was from the TV show I grew up watching--GHOSTWRITER---word. I couldn't believe how old he is now. And then it hit me... I'm old too.
Oh how I miss Lenny, Gabby and Jamal. Jamal was the cool black kid who lived with his Grandma. Gabby was a know it all and Lenny was the urban, brainy, Hispanic. They were way ahead of their time. They would get these IMs from the Ghostwriter and he would help them solve mysteries. It was funny cause he was this glowing orb. Odd? Yes. Watch it? Every week.
I also loved Math Net. "Without math. I am less than ZERO..." Or who could forget at 4:00 every day Carmen... who stole the Soule in South Korea... and the gum shoes would get the loot, the warrant and then... TOP GRUNGE... or DOUBLE (double) TROUBLE (trouble). I think I had a crush on the girl villain. PBS should really consider bringing back that game show. But if they do they need to get Rockappella back on too. They worked it out like Aloha.
Nevertheless please don't be an anon ghostwriter on my page. It makes me sad...If you have something to say leave your name buggers.

Dum... D-U-M
Yes this blog is dumb. I have been attempting to get online and put up pictures and beautiful comments where I share for my disdain for dreams of the haunting ex nature.... But I have been unable to. Everytime during the past week I have set out to get on here it comes up with a Bible study page for igmasterw.blogspace.com!
FREAKY WEIRD!
Anyway... This week was way fun. SHOUT OUT TO AUSTEN and our whirlwind trip down south! HOLLA!
As for today... I spent all day today in class. Yuck. And all night last night in class. Double Yuck. 5-8:30 Friday nights and 8-2 on Saturday mornings. Oh well at least I can now identify what the heck is wrong with people.
The big news on the Michael front is that I will be moving soon. At least that's the plan... If you haven't heard about this yet, that means I didn't really want to tell you, I don't have your information, I didn't have the chance to tell you, or you aren't important. I think you know which one applies to you.
So with moving I share these terms for visitation:
NO GHETTO PEOPLE CAN VISIT ME OR THE HOMIES
EVERYONE WHO COMES OVER WILL PAY HOMAGE, YES HHHHOMAGE, TO APPLE
AND EVERYONE WHO COMES WILL BRING ME A BOX OF GRANOLA BARS OR MACARONI (KRAFT ONLY)!
Don't like it? Deal.
Adios.
